Recently our Premier League & Club Head Coach Scott Waddington was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer. As you can imagine this came as a great shock to Scott , his wife Vicki and their family.
The operation to remove the tumour was a success however it was larger than initially thought and Scott commences chemotherapy next week, and we wish him all the best for this fight.
Thank you to Lynette Hutton, Kelly Frackowski, Leeanne Cummins, Darren Saul and Jason Noye, who have all assist Scott with his Premier League Netball commitments over the past 4 weeks, and have also committed for the remainder of the season. Thank you to the Players for their support and resilience during this difficult time also.
Thank you to Netball SA and the whole Netball community who have provided support to Scott and the club during this time.
Netball has been a great interest for Scott over many years since his daughters Jade, Leigh and Brittany first started playing. This interest involved coaching at junior levels and progressed to the level of Premier League about 10 years ago. Scott is highly regarded in the Netball Community in SA and Australia and the support he has received has been been amazing.
At Tango we will continue to support Scott through this period and look forward to seeing him at training and the games for the remainder of the season when his health permits.
We also look forward to a clean bill of health in 2019 and his continuance as Premier League Coach in 2019.
We wish Scott, Vicki and the children Jade, Leigh, Brittany and Luke and their families all the best in beating this.
Simon Finlay, Vice President, Tango Netball Club Inc
