Umpiring

Tango Netball Club is holding Netball SA’s Beginner Umpires Workshop. It is a starting point for anyone who is interested in becoming a Netball Umpire.

The course covers the basic concepts of umpiring, establish an understanding of the rules and demonstrate the techniques of umpiring through theoretical and practical components. This course leads into our “Tango Winter Umpire Development Program 2018” which will commence on Monday 30th April 2018.

Day: Sunday 4th March 2018
Time: 10am to 12 noon
Where: Tango Clubrooms, Heysen Avenue, Hope Valley
Need to bring: Whistle or they will available for you to purchase on the day for $18 from the presenters

Presented by Netball SA Accredited National badged umpire who currently umpires Netball at National or State Netball Competition Level.

We are nearing the end of the Summer netball season so now is the time to think about whether you are interested in umpiring at either SA Districts or AMND during Winter 2018.

Tango Netball Club will be entering several teams at SADNA and AMND this coming Winter Season (between April and September 2018) and we will be requiring a large number of umpires to compliment all of our teams.

 
At SADNA, games will be played on Monday and Tuesday nights and Saturday afternoons:
Monday nights – Seniors at 7pm and 8.30pm
Monday nights – Intermediates at 7pm
Tuesday nights – Juniors at 8.10pm
Tuesday nights – Sub Juniors at 6.50pm
Saturday afternoons – Primary at 2pm
Saturday afternoons – Sub Primary at 12.50pm
 

AMND games will be played on Saturday’s:
Primary – 9am (Coloured Shirt Program is run during this timeslot)
Sub Juniors – 10am (Coloured Shirt Program MAY run during this timeslot)
Juniors – 11am
Intermediates – 12.30pm
Seniors – alternative timeslots 2pm and 3.30pm

 
We welcome new umpires too! If you have never umpired but are interested in becoming a trainee umpire and taking part in our Umpire Development Program over the coming Winter season, please complete the appropriate section of the form below.

If you are interested in umpiring during the Winter season, please complete the application form and return to Melinda Wandtke, Umpiring Coordinator. Applications are due no later than Friday 2nd February 2018.
